Coaches vs Cancer Benefits Tiger Senior

Staff Report

UPDATED 1/21/2022: Donations raised Friday to support Billy and his battle totaled $2,836.91.  Thank you for your contributions and support of Billy and his family.

Friday night’s home basketball games against the visiting Ellensburg Bulldogs will be our annual Coaches vs. Cancer night. For the past 18 years, the Washington Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association has been a part of the national Coaches vs. Cancer program. The program is a collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches that empowers coaches, their teams, and communities to join the fight against cancer.

During halftime of both the girls and boys varsity games tomorrow, players will be walking through the stands & commons accepting donations.  This year, the donation you make can help one of our own.  Current Ephrata High School Senior Billy Rhoades was diagnosed with Leukemia just this week. Billy and his mom will be in Spokane for the next several weeks as he fights this cancer of the blood disease. 100% of your donations will help the family pay for expenses incurred during this time.

Please keep Billy and his family in your thoughts and prayers, and thank you for your support!
