Heather Wood, Cheer Coach

The Ephrata High cheer squad is joined by Ellensburg cheerleaders to show their strength and support for the Coaches vs Cancer basketball game on January 21st.

Friday night’s basketball games took on additional meaning by serving as the annual Coaches vs. Cancer event at Ephrata High School.  For the past 18 years, the Washington Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association has been a part of the Coaches vs. Cancer program. Coaches vs. Cancer is a collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches. It empowers coaches, their teams, and communities to join the fight against cancer.

This year the event is accepting donations for current Ephrata High School Senior Billy Rhodes. Just this week, Billy was diagnosed with Leukemia. Billy and his mom will be in Spokane for the next several weeks as he fights this cancer of the blood disease. 100% of your donations will help the family pay for expenses incurred during this time. Please keep Billy and his family in your thoughts and prayers, and thank you for your support!
