This Week in Sports

Several Tiger teams are in the playoff hunt beginning this week.  Both the girls and boys basketball programs took the #6 seeds respectively in the final CWAC regular season standings.  The girls kick the week off on Tuesday traveling to Othello to take on the #3 Huskies.  A win advances the Tigers to a Thursday matchup with the Prosser Mustangs.  If the Tigers lose on Tuesday they will play on February 14th against a yet-to-be-named opponent in a loser-out contest.

The boys square off on Wednesday in Prosser against the #3 Mustangs.  Defeating the Mustangs will send the Tigers to a Saturday game in Ellensburg against the #2 Bulldogs.  If the Tigers come up short in Prosser they will play a loser-out game on February 15th.

Unified basketball will end its season on Wednesday, February 9th.  The Tigers head to Moses Lake to take on the Chiefs in a rematch of the January 5th home opener for the Tigers which saw them drop a close game to the Chiefs 54-45.

It will be a big day this Saturday, February 12th inside Marty O’Brien Court on the Ephrata High School campus.  The girls wrestling district tournament will be hosted by the Tigers as athletes look to continue their journey towards the state tournament.  The tournament will be broadcast live.  More details and links will follow closer to the date.
